Your watch life,
beautifully kept.
Cineq is a social film and TV tracker for people who care about what they watch — where they watch it, who they watch it with, and how it made them feel.
Why we built this
We love film trackers, but the ones that exist feel incomplete. One only tracks films. Another hides stats behind a paywall. None of them let you tag which cinema you were in, or remember that you saw it in 70mm, or that it was a Tuesday night double feature with your best friend.
Cineq is built around the idea that context matters. A film watched in a packed IMAX on opening night is a different experience than the same film on your couch six months later. Both are valid. Both deserve to be remembered.
We also believe your stats should be free — always. No paywall on your own data. Cineq Premium exists for people who want extra polish (custom themes, export tools, early features), not to gatekeep the basics.
What makes Cineq different
Theatre tagging
Tag the cinema you watched at — IMAX, Dolby, 70mm, drive-in. Your theatre passport tracks them all.
Free stats, always
Films watched, hours logged, genres, directors, cinema visits, streaks — all free, no paywall.
Film + TV unified
One profile, one diary, one feed. Track everything you watch in one place.
Real social
A feed that feels alive — reactions, comments, Watch Party, taste compatibility with friends.
Letterboxd import
Bring your history with you. One CSV upload and your entire Letterboxd diary is in Cineq.
AI discovery
Mood-based search and taste twins — find what to watch next based on how you actually feel.
The name
Cineq = Ciné (from cinématographe — the Lumière brothers, 1895, the origin of cinema) + Q (carried from the golden era of marquee signs — the sense of occasion, the lit theatre fronts). Pronounced “sin-ek.” Two syllables.
